Grafseal is a vulcanised polymer-bonded graphite compound, specially developed & manufactured to ensure maximum operational performance with minimum wear and greatly increased life. This advanced material is continuously extruded in sections, to produce suction roll sealing strips of any length, suitable for higher speed applications in papermaking, such as newsprint, tissue and fine papers.Fitted inside the suction roll, suction strips are among the most crucial wear parts in the entire papermaking process.  They provide an airtight & watertight seal between the stationary vacuum box and the rotating shell - creating a vacuum area. Any premature failure of these strips could cause a loss of vacuum, substantial lost output, and major replacement downtime.
